Anubha Doshi
Founder - Director
Award winning entrepreneur, psychologist, Mindfulness Based Psychotherapist, Expressive Arts Therapist, Classical Dancer, teacher and author, Anubha is the founder-director of Artsphere and Soulsphere, a unique arts and healing centre in Pune, where performing arts and therapy co-exist under the same roof. She regularly facilitates workshops in mindfulness, dance therapy, positive psychology, and parenting for corporates, educational institutions, and NGOs.
Her practice is unique as she explores the connection between Expressive Arts and Dance Movement Therapy (DMT), Mindfulness and Buddhist Philosophy, born out of her studies in Arts based Therapies and ‘Mahayana Buddhist Psychology & Ethics’ by WCCL, at the Pune University. This has become a lifelong journey for her, after studying ‘Mindfulness & Presence Oriented Psychotherapy’ under Just Being and is in the process of completing Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach’s ‘Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program’ (USA). She is also pursuing the Ph.D. doctoral programme in Expressive Arts Therapy from the European Graduate School, Switzerland, and has recently completed the ‘Bodynamics Foundation Training’ with The Healing Circle under Bodynamic International.
Her parenting book, ‘The M – Factor’, a collection of unique personal essays written by mothers in a memoir format, is due for release in 2025, and is being published by the prestigious Penguin Random House. She has also served as a Parenting Expert on the Panel for the Times Keep Learning Initiative powered by BYJU'S. She was recently awarded the ‘She The Shakti’ honour by Pune TV’s Shweta Saxena and support partner FICCI Flo, and The Ranka Jewellers ‘Women of Substance’ award for her exemplary work in the field.
She has been the editor of CMTAI (Creative Movement Therapy Association of India) & Artsphere’s online Indian Magazine of Dance/Movement therapy (DMT). She is a faculty on the DMT certificate and diploma courses run by CMTAI and St. Mira’s College for Girls, Pune. She is also on the Board of Studies of the Psychology Department at the St. Mira’s College for Girls, Pune.
She is a double postgraduate and a scholarship holder in Clinical Psychology from Fergusson College, Pune University. She also has a master’s degree in Communication Management from the Symbiosis Institute of Media & Communication (SIMC). Anubha completed her graduation in English Literature from the Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi. She is an associate member of the American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA) and was also a member of the CID (International Dance Council) France. She is also presenting her unique work at National and International conferences like the ADTA, International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (IEATA), CMTAI conferences. Her research papers, co-authored with her colleagues, “Chakra Awareness through Dance Movement Therapy’ and ‘Buddhist Psychology Intersects with Dance Movement Therapy’, were published by the prestigious Creative Arts in Education and Therapy (CEAT) journal.
Karishma Harlalka
Co - founder
Karishma is the co-founder of Artsphere and Soulsphere, a unique arts and healing center in Pune, where performing arts and therapy co-exist under the same roof. She is a psychologist, somatic therapist, dancer, choreographer and a Reiki and therapeutic movement practitioner.
She has been learning and performing dance since the age of 4 and has received training in various dance forms such as Bharatanatyam, Ballet, Contemporary, Folk and Belly Dance. She has trained in Bharatanatyam under Padmashree Geeta Chandran ji and also under Mrs. Suparna Sood, Smt. Rekha Chowdhary Ji and Padma Vibhushan Yamini Krishnamurthy Ji. She has trained in Ballet under Mr. Fernando Aguilera, one of the foremost ballet teachers in India. Her Contemporary Dance training has been under Rajyashree Ramamurthi, a U.K. based artist, Sumeet Nagdev Dance Arts (SNDA) and currently under Dr Gauri Vanarase. She has attended workshops and trainings with Swati Mohan, a Delhi-based artist and Hrishikesh Pawar, Pune’s foremost Contemporary Dance Artist. She has attended workshops in Latin American Dance Forms, Belly Dance, Kalaripayattu and Physical Theater. She continues to choreograph and perform regularly at events and festivals along with practicing movement therapy. She has also performed at the British Library in Pune and at the PEN@Prithvi at the Prithvi Theater in Mumbai.
She first became interested in Dance Movement Therapy at the age of 16, when she attended a workshop under Tripura Kashyap. Since then, she has assisted and co-facilitated workshops in Dance Therapy and Arts-based Therapies with her sister Anubha Doshi, eventually going on to study Dance Therapy under Creative Movement Therapy Association of India (CMTAI) in 2016. She has recently completed the Diploma in Bodynamics Foundation Training with The Healing Circle under Bodynamic International and is pursuing the diploma training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) under Quanta Health Care Solutions.
She is a Chakra System and Dance Movement Therapy Faculty on the Dance Therapy Certificate course by CMTAI. She served as a Movement Exploration faculty (2020 – 2024) and the Chakra System and Dance Therapy faculty from (2022-24) on the PG Diploma in Dance Therapy course by St. Mira’s College for Girls, Pune. She has co-authored a research paper with Tripura Kashyap and Anubha Doshi, “Chakra Awareness through Dance Movement Therapy’ which was published in 2023 by the prestigious CEAT (Creative Arts in Education and Therapy) Journal.
She incorporates elements of Yoga and anatomy led body awareness in her own practices as well as in the classes that she conducts. She is also interested in Mindful Movement practices and is working on developing a cohesive movement program that combines the knowledge of body anatomy, muscles, Chakra, and Dance Therapy.
Atul Prabhale
Manager - Studio Operations
Atul Prabhale is an Aikido and Reiki practitioner with a deep interest in meditation and self-work. Recently he finished his diploma course in Mahayana Buddhist Psychology from the Pune University. In the past, he has worked at the IDBI Bank as a Senior Development Officer as a Research Associate at the American Home Mortgage Co..
He was the Course Manager at the Vipassana Center, Markal, and also did voluntary service, apart from completing a 20-day long Vipassana Meditation Course at Shrawasti in Luknow. He has conducted meditations like 'MITRA Upakram - Mind in Training Right Awareness Workshops' with over 40,000 children from schools in Pune, with the MITRA Upakram team. He is a regular practitioner of meditation and would like to conduct meditation courses for adults & children.
